If a drink was a person...

Postby angusw on Thu Mar 04, 2010 2:41 pm

Dear BBs,

So I was having a thought the other day and thinking about how to explain complex and interesting spirits to Civilans in a way that was more approachable.

And I got thinking about the (I had always thought) slightly cheesy ways of describing something as a celebrity to engage them.

So... the statment is "If XXX spirit was a person then it would be YYY famous person."

So then the question to you quirky lot is "What spirit is who?" with explanation please.

An example?

If Green Chartreuse was a person it would be Derren Brown. He would be awesome to be around but only occasionally, as you feel in a slightly unreal world when with them and they fill you with a sense of wonder and awe. And fry your brain slightly.

Next!

If El Dorado 15 was a person, it would be Dandy: hard to describe, intense and complex, intriguing and mysterious; but once recognized, the longer you are around it, the greater appreciation you’ll have for its elegance and polish.

Chevalier, can you PM me some NY bar suggestions. Two lovely girlfriends of mine heading there in May and as huge Bramble fans, they would like to experience some of NY's finest - especially those off the beaten track. Think they are around for about 5 days, so could fit in a few. Ta. Kikix
