Whoa, Prosecco Rose a no no. Instructions from my brewery (hope I don't end up in the jail) ...

Regulation in the production and labelling of Pink Prosecco has changed for 2010 as follows;

1. The terms 'Prosecco Rose" and "Prosecco Raboso" will become illegal from April 2010
2. Sparkling rose wines made with Prosecco grapes (blended or not with others) have stopped production from the 2009 vintage

Descriptions on your menus cannot indicate Prosecco Rose and must be changed to Sparkling Rose, Spumante Rosata or any descriptor avoiding the use of the word Prosecco. Please ensure any changes are instigated at you next wine list reprint to ensure that these regulations are adhered to.
