Mr McLaren, we were given a bottle from the Babicka guys for our birthday a couple of weeks back. Pop down and ask the guys to give you a taste.

Might as well be the first then....

BAR BITCH KA'S PASSION

10 Red currants
35ml Babicka
10ml Chase rhubarb
10ml Marischino Liquer
25ml Lemon juice
5ml Lavender gomme

Muddle the red currants, then ad the rest of the ingredients and shake real hard. Make sure you pull 'the face'. Then double strain into a well chilled martini glass and garnish with a nice rimming with a lemon zest. Sit back and enjoy.

Babicka Basil

First up - Rinse a crushed ice filled rocks glass with a glug of Absenthe - then discard and refill with crushed (shaved if possible) ice.

Then, in a boston - combine the following.

50ml Babicka Vodka
2 Dash Celery Bitters
25ml Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
12.5ml Simple Sugar Syrup (50:50)
4 torn up basil leaves

Shake hard over cubed ice and single strain into rocks glass.
Sexy little basil leaf garnish next to the straw.

10ml Absinthe
50ml Babicka
15ml Martini Bianco
5ml Sonoma Pomegranate Syrup (grenadine will work as a sub)
Rinse a chilled flute with the absinthe. Stir the other ingredients with ice and strain into chilled, rinsed glass. Express a lemon zest twist over the top and discard, no garnish.

So with the only three ingredients allowed in the official Barbicka cocktail, does that include the measure of Barbicka itself? It might seem like a silly question but three ingredients is really not a lot.
